Blake Monroe has yet to officially make her WWE Friday Night SmackDown debut, but she has already made it clear that joining WWE’s main roster will carry special meaning for her backstage.
In a recent interview with Vicente Beltrán, Monroe opened up about her excitement over getting to work with Triple H. Monroe said she was called “Triple M” at school because she was such a big wrestling fan, at a time when names like John Cena, Batista and Triple H himself were points of reference for her classmates.
“Now I get to work with Triple H. Based off of my real life name, my nickname at school was Triple M because everyone was like, ‘She’s the wrestling fan.” And then everybody watched WWE, so we knew John Cena, Batista, Triple H, everyone. So I was Triple M. I’m so excited to work with him. I’ve been at SmackDown.”
“I haven’t debuted yet, but every week it’s possible. I see how hands-on he is in terms of producing matches or things that he wants. I’m really excited to kind of get that knowledge, and I think I’m really lucky to have access to that and to have access to these people who have had such amazing careers. Now they’re gonna share a bit of knowledge with The Glamour.”
Monroe was announced as “coming soon” to SmackDown during the April 24 episode, following her run in NXT.
Over the past few days, Monroe has also teased the possibility of debuting on the May 29 edition of SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain. The event is set to take place at Olimpic Arena Badalona.
At this point, however, WWE has not confirmed the exact date for Monroe’s debut.
