Tatum Paxley, the current WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion, revealed that she feels a special connection with Blake Monroe in WWE.

During a recent interview with The Mark Moses Show at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Paxley discussed her career, her goals for 2026 in NXT, and referred to Monroe as her “wrestling soulmate.”

“She’s one of those people that, the second she stepped foot into NXT, I was like ‘I have to have interactions with this girl’.

“Something with me and Blake, we know ourselves so well, and something I really appreciated, aside from the words we had to say with each other, we had this amazing eye contact that I don’t really feel like I get with a lot of people.

“Any time I’m on stage, talking with my heart, sometimes people tend to look around, look at the audience, her and I were so locked in on each other and meant and felt everything we were saying, so I have like a really great connection with her from that promo, I just remember staring at her and we were not looking away. We were locked in on each other, and that was really cool.

“Getting to do things with her, any time I stepped away from it I was like ‘this feels right’. She might be my wrestling soulmate, I’m not sure.”

The story between the two has been heavily featured in recent months. Monroe even stole Paxley’s title after attacking her on NXT in Houston, dragging her under the stage in one of the rivalry’s most memorable moments.

The high point came at NXT Revenge on April 21, when Paxley defeated Monroe in a Casket Match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. On that night, the champion hit the Cemetery Driver onto diamonds and put Monroe inside the casket to retain the title.
