Cody Rhodes will open Friday Night SmackDown this Friday, 05/01, live from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. WWE confirmed the Undisputed WWE Champion will start the show after addressing, last week, the attack on Randy Orton and the fallout from WrestleMania 42.

The big question now is what Rhodes’ next challenge will be as champion. WWE itself raised that question when announcing the segment, indicating the hunt for the Undisputed WWE Championship by other wrestlers could take a new shape right at the opening of the show.

In addition to Rhodes, the show will also feature the main roster debut of Ricky Saints. The ex-NXT will be officially introduced to the SmackDown audience at an important time with several names being called up after WrestleMania.

In the women’s division, Charlotte Flair will face Jacy Jayne. The match comes after Fatal Influence attacked Paige, Brie Bella, Charlotte, Alexa Bliss and, later, Rhea Ripley.

Jacob Fatu is also advertised to appear, just days after securing a match against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash.

Check out everything announced for the show so far:

  • Cody Rhodes will open the show;
  • Ricky Saints will make his debut;
  • Charlotte Flair vs. Jacy Jayne;
  • Jacob Fatu will appear.
