Damian Priest, who currently holds the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside R-Truth, has once again commented on how much longer he plans to stay active in the ring before calling it a career.

Speaking on the Chrissy Chaos podcast, hosted by comedian Chris Distefano and recorded outside Yankee Stadium in New York, the 43-year-old wrestler set a clear limit for when he would hang up his boots:

“I don’t have a number. I don’t have a time. But I know that I’m gonna listen to my body, and I already can tell. It’s just natural that you’re gonna start slowing down. So I don’t know how much time I have left, but I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. But at the same time, no. Into my 50s, definitely not. Before 50, I would be done.”

It is worth noting that Priest did not win his first world title until relatively late in his career, cashing in Money in the Bank on Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL in 2024 and becoming the first world champion of Puerto Rican descent since Pedro Morales in 1971.

He has been teaming with R-Truth since the start of 2026, with the duo capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship in March by defeating MFT’s Tama Tonga and JC Mateo.

Priest has also recently expanded his work outside WWE. On July 4, he was announced by Rey Mysterio, AAA’s current general manager, as the newest name on the Mexican promotion’s roster, speaking Spanish to the crowd in Mérida and promising to chase titles there as well.

As reported by Wrestling Noticias, Priest’s AAA appearances are not expected to affect his WWE commitments for now.
