Add as a preferred source on Google Damian Priest just picked up a new challenge outside the ring. The current WWE Tag Team Champion will provide the voice of The Hood in Season 9 of Marvel Rivals.
The news was confirmed this Saturday (July 11) when Priest shared the trailer for The Mystery of Thebes. His voice can be heard in the final seconds of the video, just before the villain shows up on screen.
On his official X account, Priest wrote:
“No one beats The Hood.”
Season 9 of Marvel Rivals launched on July 10, bringing Jubilee in as a new playable character along with a full overhaul of the Team-Up system. The Hood will be added to the roster at a later date, likely in early August.
The Hood is Parker Robbins, a criminal who gained supernatural powers after stealing a cloak and a pair of boots belonging to a demon. Over the years, he has become one of Marvel’s top villain leaders.
Priest’s involvement stands out because he had already shown interest in voice acting. Back in 2022, he said he had never done that kind of work before but would love to take on the challenge.
Around that same time, Fightful Select reported that Priest had been brought in for a reading tied to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Now, the chance to be part of a Marvel production has finally come through.
