Darby Allin Stretchered Out of AEW Dynamite After Pyro Blast

Kevin Knight brutally attacked Darby Allin on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

The segment kicked off with the reigning TNT Champion calling Allin out to the ring for a final face-to-face ahead of AEW All In. Knight had security pat Allin down on the ramp to make sure he wasn’t carrying any weapons, but a pyro blast suddenly struck Allin.

With Allin dazed from the blast, Knight jumped him immediately and dragged him into the ring. The champion placed a steel chair across Allin’s face while he was hung upside down in the corner and delivered a Coast-to-Coast.

Medical personnel loaded Allin onto a stretcher and wheeled him toward a waiting ambulance. Tony Schiavone noted on commentary that he could see burns on Allin’s face. Steven Borden, Sting’s son, was at ringside during the medical response and had to be restrained after Knight provoked him.

Knight and Allin are set to meet in a Falls Count Anywhere match for the TNT Championship at AEW All In on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
