Dominik Mysterio is back in the AAA Mega Championship picture. On the latest episode of AAA on FOX, the former champion teamed with Omos to defeat El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio, earning another shot at the title.
It all started when Dorian Roldán once again disputed the result of the AAA Mega Championship match at Triplemanía 34. During that match, the official referee was unable to continue, and Rey Mysterio stepped in to make the count that sealed El Grande Americano’s title win over Dominik.
El Grande Americano offered a way to settle the controversy, proposing that he and Rey face Dominik and Omos in the episode’s main event. If the El Ojo duo won, Dominik would receive a title rematch at Héroes Inmortales. A loss would bar Dominik from challenging for the championship for as long as El Grande Americano held it.

The turning point came when Dominik attacked his own father and ripped off Rey’s mask. Moments later, Dominik hit El Grande Americano with the AAA Mega Championship and pinned the reigning champion.
With the win, Dominik will once again face El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Championship at Héroes Inmortales, which is set for October 24 at Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City.
The card will also include Los Perros del Mal defending the AAA World Trios Championship against La Parka, Mr. Iguana and Niño Hamburguesa, as well as Rey Fenix putting the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on the line.
