Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has been added to WWE 2K26 as a playable character, sparking a new wave of criticism from fans of the game.

Zelnick was quietly added in the update that brought the third season of the Ringside Pass. The executive has an overall rating of 77, is listed as a cruiserweight, and has his own entrance set to Frank Sinatra’s classic “My Way.”

The detail drawing the most attention is that, at least for now, the song is locked exclusively to Zelnick and cannot be used for created characters in creation mode.

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett also recorded exclusive commentary lines for the CEO’s entrance, presenting him as someone who went straight from the boardroom to the ring.

The negative reaction comes at a difficult moment for WWE 2K26.

Since launch, many players had already been criticizing the new Ringside Pass model, especially the amount of time needed to unlock content that, in previous years, would have been made available more naturally.
