Jacob Fatu knows he will not be stepping into a normal match against Roman Reigns at WWE Clash in Italy. Speaking to SportsCenter, “The Samoan Werewolf” said there is no real way to prepare for Tribal Combat.
“You can’t really prepare for a tough situation like this. When it comes to our Bloodline, our culture and our family, we’re the only ones who can step into Tribal Combat and do what we do at such a high level, with so much on the line.”
The match will be for the World Heavyweight Championship and will take place this Sunday, May 31, at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. In the United States, the show will stream on the ESPN App through the ESPN Unlimited plan at 2 p.m. ET.
Fatu also said it is an honor to compete on WWE’s first Premium Live Event in Italy, especially against Reigns, whom he called one of the greatest of all time.
“I’m definitely walking out, this time, Heavyweight Champion.”

The rivalry picked up after Backlash, where Reigns retained the title against Fatu but was attacked after the match. Fatu then put his hands on The Usos and WWE officials before challenging Roman to another match under tribal rules.
The stipulation adds even more weight to the showdown. Reigns won the previous two Tribal Combat matches, defeating Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 and Solo Sikoa on the RAW on Netflix premiere in 2025.
