Cody Rhodes believes Roman Reigns will have serious problems in his match against Jacob Fatu at WWE Clash in Italy, mainly because of the stipulation chosen for the bout.

During a recent appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, the Undisputed WWE Champion was asked about Reigns vs. Fatu, which will take place in a Tribal Combat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Cody did not sit on the fence.

“Well, that’s a tribal combat match. which is another way of saying a good old-fashioned street fight, which I think behooves Jacob Fatu. I think Jacob Fatu is going to beat Roman Reigns, which will be huge.”

The match will take place this Sunday, May 31, at WWE Clash in Italy from the Inalpi Arena in Turin.

The rivalry took another turn after Backlash, where Reigns retained the title against Fatu but was attacked by the “Samoan Werewolf” after the match. They continued trading attacks, both verbally and physically, in the weeks that followed, leading to the match being made official.

Despite Rhodes’ prediction, Reigns’ history in the stipulation still looms large. The OTC won the two previous Tribal Combat Matches, defeating Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 and Solo Sikoa on the Raw on Netflix premiere in 2025.

Cody will also be in action at Clash in Italy, defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther.
