Vince McMahon remains away from WWE, but he still has public support from some major names from the company’s history.

On the latest edition of Something To Wrestle, JBL weighed in on the possible future of the former WWE chairman.

“I think the business world is better with Vince McMahon in it. I think the entertainment world is better with Vince McMahon in it. You can pick and choose whether you like him personally or not,” JBL said. “I’m just talking professionally. Is he good for business?”

JBL’s main argument centered on McMahon’s run leading WWE, especially after the sale that led to the creation of TKO Group Holdings. In documents filed with the SEC, the transaction with Endeavor valued WWE at $9.3 billion.

“He took a $1 million investment and sold it for $9.3 billion. It’s one of the greatest stories in American history.”

JBL also called McMahon “the ultimate puppet master,” saying he always knew how to keep his plans close to the vest. While he said he has no inside information about a possible return, the former WWE Champion said he would like to see McMahon back in some kind of meaningful role.

“Would he be good at 81 to come back and do something? Hell yes, he would. I don’t know what. I have no idea. I don’t have any insight whatsoever. I just hope he does.”
