John Cena, who returned to WWE programming on Monday’s Raw, is set to make his next big appearance, this time at Survivor Series: WarGames in Houston.
During the show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Cena announced that he will be at the November 28 PPV to reveal more names for the John Cena Classic.
Corey Brennan of Fightful Select reported that Cena has been scheduled for Survivor Series for some time. In the storyline, he will be looking for more talent for the tournament named after him.
So far, Cody Rhodes is the only wrestler announced for the tournament. Rhodes was the first to be invited by Cena, who took the opportunity to apologize for questioning in the past if Rhodes could carry WWE.
The tournament was announced in May at Backlash in Tampa. It will take place on December 14 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, on a special episode of Raw.
Before heading to Houston, Cena will appear on Wednesday’s NXT, where he will probably be announcing some of the brand’s stars for the tournament.
This year’s Survivor Series: WarGames, the 40th edition of the show, will take place at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, in Texas. At the 2025 Survivor Series at Petco Park in San Diego, Cena wrestled the last PPV match of his career. He dropped the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Dominik Mysterio that night.
