Jon Moxley has just hit a pretty symbolic milestone in his career. The AEW star has now spent more time in Tony Khan’s company than he did as Dean Ambrose on WWE’s main roster.
Ambrose made his main roster debut at Survivor Series 2012 alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, when The Shield attacked Ryback during the WWE Championship match. His WWE exit came in April 2019, after the company had already confirmed he would not be renewing his contract.
That means Ambrose’s WWE main roster run lasted roughly 2,345 days. Moxley, meanwhile, made his surprise debut at Double or Nothing 2019 on May 25 of that year and was immediately announced as a full-time AEW signing.

With that, Moxley has now passed the 2,560-day mark in AEW, making this chapter of his career even longer than his most popular stretch in WWE. The stat stands out because, for many fans, Ambrose is still remembered as a central piece of The Shield, one of the most important stables in WWE’s recent history.
In AEW, however, Moxley became one of the company’s pillars, with multiple AEW World Championship reigns, major rivalries, and a constant presence on the promotion’s biggest pay-per-views. More recently, he also defended the AEW Continental Championship at Double or Nothing 2026.
