Nikkita Lyons, who had been rumored as a possible WWE main roster call-up around the middle of this year, is not expected to leave NXT any time soon.
According to False Finish, WWE officials have been very impressed with Lyons’ work since her return from injury. Despite that positive internal reaction, the current expectation is that Lyons will continue working between NXT and EVOLVE for the foreseeable future.
The situation stands out because Lyons had been mentioned as a possible name for Monday Night RAW, especially amid recent movement from WWE’s developmental system to the main roster. Still, that scenario has lost momentum behind the scenes.
Lyons remains involved in NXT programming. On the May 5 episode, she appeared in a segment with Tatum Paxley, Lizzy Rain, and Zaria, all of whom were orbiting the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
While there were reports of a potential call-up for Nikkita Lyons in the summer, it doesn’t appear likely at this time.

The following week, Lyons was back in action, teaming with Zaria against Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain. The match ended with Paxley and Rain picking up the win after Zaria walked out on her partner during the bout, leaving Lyons vulnerable in the ring.
WWE also still lists Lyons as an active part of NXT on its official website, where she is described as having experience in MMA, boxing, and Tae Kwon Do.

It remains to be seen whether that strong internal impression will be enough to put Lyons back on the main roster track down the line, or if WWE will continue using NXT and EVOLVE as the base for rebuilding her momentum.
