Kevin Owens is expected to return to WWE TV in the near future.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Owens is set to be back very soon. The report did not give a date or say whether he has been medically cleared for an in-ring return.

Owens hasn’t wrestled since beating Sami Zayn in an unsanctioned match at Elimination Chamber on March 1, 2025. Randy Orton returned afterward and attacked Owens, setting up their planned WrestleMania 41 match.

That match was pulled after Owens revealed on the April 4 SmackDown that a neck injury would require surgery. He underwent successful neck fusion surgery on July 18, 2025, after doctors waited several months to let his spinal cord heal as much as possible.

Owens remained involved with WWE during his recovery as a WWE LFG coach and appeared at NXT’s Great American Bash tailgate and watch party in June.

Owens said last August that a comeback would depend on how well the bones fused, while making it clear that returning to the ring remained his goal. The Observer’s update concerns television, with an in-ring timetable still unconfirmed.
