Killer Kross has once again commented on WWE’s backstage situation, raising questions about how much decision-making power Triple H really has over the company’s creative direction.

During a recent appearance on Uncrowned’s The Ariel Helwani Show, the former WWE star speculated that the Chief Content Officer has to deal with demands coming from other people.

“If I had to guess. I would say that there are people who call things in and he has to make the best of what they want to play out on television and the PLEs.”

In the same interview, Kross admitted that he was bothered by not speaking with Triple H after leaving WWE, as he expected to negotiate his new contract directly with him, the way they always had.

Instead, WWE put an intermediary between them, and Kross even speculated that Hunter may no longer be in a position to speak with talent.

Kross also recalled a curious backstage incident. According to him, one week after he used a headset in the gorilla position, the equipment was banned for everyone, leading him to suspect that he may have heard things he was not supposed to.

It is important to note that Kross worked with Triple H dating back to 2020, when he arrived in NXT, and was brought back in 2022, just as Hunter took over creative power. His WWE exit came in August 2025, alongside Scarlett, after their contracts expired.

Since then, Kross has been standing out on the independent circuit.
