Killer Kross, who remains a free agent following his WWE departure, recently opened up about the possibility of signing with AEW.
During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the former WWE star was asked whether he has had any conversations with AEW President Tony Khan, but he chose to keep the details private.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Tony [Khan], and he knows that. I prefer to keep those conversations private out of respect for Tony and myself.
I think it’s [the door] always been open.”
Back in November, Khan appeared on the same show and revealed that he had not spoken with Kross in many years, but admitted it would be worth reconnecting with him. He also praised Kross’ work in an independent match against Darby Allin.
Kross and his wife, Scarlett, left WWE in August 2025 after failing to reach an agreement on new contracts. Since then, both have remained active on the independent circuit, where, according to Kross himself, they are making more money than they were in WWE.
Kross currently holds the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, a title he will put on the line against Matt Riddle this Saturday on MLW Fusion.
Asked about TNA as well, Kross kept the mystery alive, saying he has spoken with people from all over and that there is no bad blood between him and anyone in pro wrestling. It remains to be seen where he will land next.
