Add as a preferred source on Google LA Knight hopes Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam finally puts a bow on his long-running program with The Bloodline. “The Megastar” teams with Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys against Jacob Fatu and The Usos in a six-man tag.
In a recent interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter, Knight was asked if the match could finally end his involvement with the Samoan family. The former United States Champion didn’t hide his frustration with the program.
“Man, God, I hope so, cause at this point, I feel like I’m a weird black sheep of the family at this point. Cause I’ve been married to those guys almost to the point where it’s like I’m in there.”
Knight’s history with The Bloodline dates back to 2023, when he teamed with John Cena to beat Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at Fastlane before challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel. Interference from Jimmy and Solo cost Knight his first WWE world title.
The story picked up a new chapter at WrestleMania 42, when Knight and The Usos teamed up to beat The Vision and iShowSpeed. Not long after, Jey and Jimmy realigned with Reigns, while Jacob Fatu was forced back into The Bloodline after losing a Tribal Combat match.
Knight laid out the SummerSlam challenge after another failed attempt by the group to get Sikoa back in the fold. The makeshift trio of Knight, Sikoa and Keys got the better of Fatu and The Usos in the brawl on the SummerSlam go-home Raw.
Along with trying to close out the feud, Knight puts his perfect SummerSlam record on the line. He won the Slim Jim Battle Royal in 2023 and took the United States Title off Logan Paul the following year. Another win would make him 3-0 at the event.
