Add as a preferred source on Google John Cena will once again be one of the biggest highlights of WWE: Unreal. Netflix dropped a new teaser Monday for the documentary series’ third season, which is set to return later this month.
The video looks back at Cena’s final year as a wrestler, gathering footage from matches against some of the biggest rivals of his career alongside talent representing WWE’s new generation.
In the post, Netflix wrote:
“John Cena facing a mix of his most iconic rivals and the next generation of WWE Superstars in his final year was so special ❤️
WWE: UNREAL SEASON 3 returns July 21.”
Season 3 launches July 21 with five episodes running roughly 50 minutes each. Beyond Cena’s send-off, the season will cover AJ Lee’s return and the creative decisions that shaped WWE’s road to WrestleMania 42.
The first trailer had already shown footage tied to Seth Rollins’ injury at Crown Jewel, Liv Morgan’s Survivor Series return, and WWE’s push to establish names like Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Bron Breakker among its top stars.
The final stretch of Cena’s career is expected to take up a considerable portion of the episodes.
Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Lash Legend, Stephanie Vaquer, Chelsea Green, Matt Cardona and Becky Lynch are also confirmed to appear this season.
WWE: Unreal debuted in 2025, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the company, including inside the writers’ room. The series is produced by WWE in partnership with Omaha Productions, NFL Films and Skydance Sports.
