WWE has pulled Roman Reigns from every Monday Night RAW in June despite initially advertising him for several dates.
The move stands out because Reigns currently anchors the show. He won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 and jumped straight into a heated feud with Jacob Fatu, his likely opponent at Backlash.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason is simple. Reigns isn’t booked for Night of Champions on June 27 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE therefore doesn’t need him on the TV build for that premium live event.
Roman Reigns is no longer being advertised for June RAW episodes after initially being listed for all shows.

He has now been removed from those dates, as he’s not scheduled to appear at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, which is why he won’t be part of building the show.

Meltzer noted the situation only changes if Reigns drops the title beforehand. If he keeps the belt, the absence simply lines up with his limited schedule.
WWE still has Reigns booked for the May RAWs, including this Monday’s show. That episode will host the contract signing for his Backlash match against Fatu. After that, his TV appearances turn uncertain again.
In short, despite talk of a busier run after WrestleMania 42, Reigns’ reign looks set to stay on the special attraction model that defined his past few years in WWE.
