WWE has once again updated Roman Reigns’ schedule. The current World Heavyweight Champion is now advertised for Backlash, three May episodes of Monday Night RAW, and Clash In Italy, which takes place May 31 in Turin.
The confirmation stands out because Reigns had recently been removed from every televised date in June. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, his absence was tied to the OTC not being scheduled for Night of Champions, the premium live event set for June 27 in Saudi Arabia.
Under the new schedule, Reigns is advertised for Backlash in Tampa on May 9, RAW in Knoxville on May 11, RAW in Greensboro on May 18, RAW in Columbus on May 25, and Clash In Italy in Turin.
Any rumor of a possible rift between Roman Reigns and TKO should be dismissed, as WWE’s earlier listings for his June appearances were simply an error.
Acknowledge your OTC this May. ☝️

At Backlash, Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu. WWE is presenting the match as his first major test since defeating CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania 42, where he captured the world title.
On the latest episode of RAW, Fatu sent another strong message to the champion by attacking Reigns during the contract signing and driving him through the table with the Tongan Death Grip.
It remains to be seen whether Reigns’ advertised appearance at Clash In Italy points to bigger plans for his title reign or simply marks a gradual return to his schedule after Backlash.
