Report Reveals Who Was Behind the Censorship on This Week’s WWE RAW

The heavy censorship on this week’s RAW reportedly came directly from Netflix, not from WWE.

According to False Finish, a source said Netflix made the decision to censor graphic content on the show due to broadcast restrictions in several of the countries where RAW airs.

RAW is distributed by Netflix in dozens of markets worldwide, including Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and several countries across Europe and Asia.

The controversy started at the top of the show, when Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price attacked Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso in the parking lot. Jey ended the segment covered in blood, but the Netflix broadcast pixelated his face and even the blood on the ground.

The episode was taped last Friday, August 28, at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, giving Netflix time to make changes before Monday’s broadcast.

False Finish also reported that Netflix’s decision prompted Paul “Triple H” Levesque to later post the fully uncensored version of the attack on his social media.

Triple H’s video shows the blood on Jey Uso’s face and on the ground without any blurring.

This wasn’t the only edit on RAW, either. Netflix also censored profanity from Jacob Fatu, continuing a pattern of edits. In recent weeks, the platform had already edited remarks from Becky Lynch and even footage involving Brock Lesnar.
