Fenix defeated Mini Vikingo at Verano de Escándalo in August to retain the title.
The two also met at Triplemanía 34 in September, where Fenix successfully defended the title in a Fatal 4-Way that also included Cartwheel and Nathan Frazer.
Mini Vikingo earned another shot at the title in July, beating Cartwheel and Dragon Lee in a No. 1 contender’s match.
