Add as a preferred source on Google Roxanne Perez has once again joked about one of the most unexpected moments from the final stretch of John Cena’s WWE career.
At Survivor Series: WarGames, held on November 29 at Petco Park in San Diego, Cena defended the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio in his penultimate match. During the bout, Roxanne and Raquel Rodriguez attacked Cena while the referee was distracted, hitting the Pop Rox and the Tejana Bomb.
Speaking on Complex’s Graps the Podcast, Perez revealed that the idea came from Cena himself.
“Obviously I thought it was frickin’ insane. Actually it was John Cena’s idea so when he asked us if we would be okay hitting our finishers on him, I was like ‘absolutely’.”
“I never thought that would have happened but it was pretty insane, and it was one of those things where the plan is greater than you ever imagined because who would have thought I’d be the one to retire John Cena?”
“People say it was Gunther, but I don’t know, I’m sure it was me.”
