Scott D’Amore revealed a humble gesture from Triple H that came shortly after his exit from TNA, which was officially announced in February 2024.

D’Amore’s contract was terminated by Anthem Sports & Entertainment despite his direct role in TNA’s return and his time serving as the company’s president.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show, D’Amore said Triple H was among the first people to reach out to him once the news broke.

“The first time I looked at my screen after it went public, the screen was full of messages, including one of ’em was Triple H, and it was just, ‘Are you okay?’ Which I think is a classy move.”

Tony Khan reached out to D’Amore as well. The former TNA president confirmed he had conversations with people from both WWE and AEW, but said he wasn’t looking to jump right back into a role that would once again take over his entire life.

During that stretch, D’Amore even stopped by the WWE Performance Center in Orlando while weighing his next move. His next major project, though, ended up being Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, a Canadian promotion launched in 2024.

MLP kicks off its weekly show, Mayhem, this week. The series debuts in Canada on TSN and rolls out internationally on MyAEW starting July 16, reaching more than 100 countries.
