Seth Rollins has defended WWE’s use of celebrities, while making it clear that those appearances work best in small doses.
During an appearance on Unsportsmanlike, “The Visionary” was asked about names like Bad Bunny and IShowSpeed, who have taken part in WWE matches and segments in recent years. Rollins said he understands why some fans push back, especially when an outside celebrity is inserted into an already established storyline.
“Speed, Bad Bunny, in small doses, are great for our industry. It allows us to reach different people and different audiences, so they can see what we do.”
His comments come amid heavy debate over the subject. WrestleMania 42 featured appearances from Jelly Roll, IShowSpeed, Lil Yachty, and Pat McAfee, while WWE itself listed IShowSpeed in the match alongside Logan Paul and Austin Theory against The Usos and LA Knight.

Behind the scenes, however, the company does not appear ready to pull back. According to Fightful Select, WWE sources said the company was extremely pleased with the celebrity involvement at WrestleMania 42 and plans to keep using outside names throughout the summer, though at a lower volume after the event.
Most of the criticism remains tied to McAfee and Jelly Roll’s role in the Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton rivalry. Corey Graves said the issue was the timing, as fans wanted to see the story between Rhodes and Orton develop more organically.
For now, the direction appears clear. WWE is expected to continue its celebrity strategy, while being careful not to let outside attractions become the center of its biggest feuds.
