Bron Breakker pulled off a major milestone in his WWE career. In the opening match of Backlash, held in Tampa, he defeated Seth Rollins, putting an end to a rivalry that started even before WrestleMania 42.

The match saw heavy interference from the stable led by Paul Heyman. At one point, Rollins hit the Stomp on Breakker, but Heyman climbed onto the apron and stopped the referee’s count. Shortly after, Austin Theory and Logan Paul showed up to help the “Badass.”

Rollins managed to fight off Theory and shove Paul away, but he spent too much time outside the ring. When he got back in, he was caught off guard by a Spear from Breakker, which still wasn’t enough to put the match away.

In the end, Breakker needed two more consecutive Spears to finally pin Rollins, securing his biggest win since joining WWE’s main roster.

It’s worth remembering that WWE itself had been treating this match as the ultimate test for Breakker.

In a recent interview, he said that beating Rollins was the first step to “put this story to rest” and get back to challenging for the World Championship.
