Seth Rollins responded to Paul Heyman after the WWE Hall of Famer claimed Backlash would mark the destruction of The Visionary and the definitive rise of Bron Breakker. Rollins vs. Breakker is set for this Saturday, May 9, at the Premium Live Event in Tampa, Florida.
During an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, Rollins brushed off Heyman’s comments and said the manager does not even fully believe what he is saying.
“Oh Paul, come on now. You’ve told some lies in your life, you don’t really believe half the things that come out of your mouth. I know you don’t believe 100% of that I just saw come out of your mouth. The end of Seth Rollins? Sir, I am just getting started. I’ve got WrestleMania main events in the future lined up for me. Bron Breakker, he’s going to be your cash cow? Paulie, he ain’t ready, baby.”
Rollins’ response comes after Heyman doubled down on his confidence in Breakker. In a recent interview, he called Bron the “future of WWE” and said Breakker has everything the company is looking for in someone who can lead the industry in the years ahead.
The rivalry heated back up after Breakker returned at WrestleMania 42, hit Rollins with a Spear, and cost him the win against Gunther. On the following RAW, WWE continued the build with more attacks from Bron, while Rollins challenged his former ally to prove he is ready to take the top spot.
Backlash will also feature Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu, Trick Williams facing Sami Zayn for the United States Championship, IYO SKY taking on Asuka, and Danhausen looking for a partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson.
