Solo Sikoa delivered one of the night’s most entertaining moments during the opening segment of Monday’s WWE RAW, busting out a Matrix-style dodge at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
This week’s RAW aired at a special start time of 6 p.m. ET, streaming live on Netflix.
The show opened with LA Knight in the ring, addressing his pursuit of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and his recent issues with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa came through the crowd and thanked Knight for helping him out the previous week. Sikoa also drew laughs by borrowing Knight’s signature catchphrase:
“Let me talk to you.”
Shortly after, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso interrupted to confront Sikoa over attacking Roman Reigns the week before, and that’s when the movie callback happened.
Jey Uso fired off his trademark “warning shot” gesture toward Sikoa. Wearing sunglasses, Sikoa leaned all the way back and pretended to dodge the imaginary shot, mimicking Neo’s iconic bullet-dodge scene from The Matrix.
The fun quickly gave way to business. Sikoa challenged The Usos to a tag team match against himself and LA Knight later in the night, and Jimmy and Jey accepted.
The rivalry between the two sides took a new turn on the August 17 RAW, when Roman Reigns ordered Solo to attack Knight. Sikoa swerved everyone, hitting Reigns with a Samoan Spike before also laying out Jey Uso. Knight capped things off with BFTs on Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns.
