Tonight’s WWE RAW Opening Segment Revealed

Stephanie Vaquer is set for a prominent spot on tonight’s WWE RAW, Monday, August 17, in Buffalo, New York.

According to TRNBCKL Gold, WWE’s internal rundown has La Primera penciled in to open the show. Since this is an early rundown, the lineup order could still change before airtime.

Interestingly, WWE has not officially announced Vaquer as part of tonight’s episode. The company’s preview highlights Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa, along with Chad Gable’s Intercontinental Championship defense against Rey Mysterio and two tournament matches to determine Reigns’ next challenger. RAW airs at 8 ET/5 PT live on Netflix.

The potential Vaquer opening comes right as the Women’s World Championship picture is heating up.

Last week, the Chilean star hit the ring and made it clear she’s coming for the title currently held by Liv Morgan. Becky Lynch interrupted the segment and staked her own claim to a shot at the champion. Morgan showed up afterward but managed to slip away when Vaquer and Lynch got tangled up with each other.

Vaquer returned to WWE programming on the August 3 RAW after being sidelined with a shoulder injury suffered following WrestleMania 42.

With Morgan, Lynch, and Vaquer all wrapped up in the same storyline, tonight’s opening segment could signal the next major Women’s World Championship match.
