Add as a preferred source on Google Stephanie Vaquer is getting closer to returning to WWE programming, but that is not expected to happen on tonight’s RAW in Baltimore, Maryland.
Vaquer has been out since late April, when she was attacked backstage by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in a segment used to write her off TV after WrestleMania 42. At the time, Michael Cole announced that Vaquer had suffered a grade-two AC joint injury in her shoulder.
Since then, “La Primera” has not appeared on weekly programming, though her name has been discussed internally for some future dates.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, Vaquer is now in the final stages of her recovery, but there is still no indication that she is in Baltimore for tonight’s show.
As has been clear with several recent returns, WWE has been able to keep things under wraps very effectively, so nothing can be ruled out completely. However, as of now, there is no concrete sign that the former Women’s World Champion will appear on RAW.
There are also creative questions still in play. The feeling backstage is that Vaquer is close to returning, but it is still unclear exactly what WWE has planned for her.
It is worth remembering that tonight’s RAW will feature Oba Femi vs. Dominik Mysterio in a King of the Ring semifinal, along with IYO SKY vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a Queen of the Ring semifinal. Roman Reigns is also advertised to appear.
