Add as a preferred source on Google Chad Gable has a major match lined up for tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, which takes place at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
WWE confirmed that Gable will face Rusev, continuing his comeback after the end of his run as El Grande Americano. The match will also mark his in-ring return under his regular name and without the mask for the first time in more than a year.
Last week, Penta put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Rey Mysterio. After the match, Ethan Page and Rusev attacked both luchadores, with Rusev even ripping Mysterio’s mask off.
Gable then came out to make the save, clearing out both men and returning Rey’s mask in the process.
On social media, Gable said the reaction he received after dropping the mask was something he would never forget, but added that it will not mean anything unless he backs it up inside the ring.
Along with Gable vs. Rusev, tonight’s RAW will feature Oba Femi vs. Dominik Mysterio in a King of the Ring semifinal, IYO SKY vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a Queen of the Ring semifinal, Charlotte Flair vs. Roxanne Perez, and Roman Reigns’ return to the show.
