WWE still has Night of Champions scheduled for June 27 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but TKO continues to closely monitor the situation in the Middle East.

Appearing on Power Players With Brian Sozzi, Mark Shapiro, TKO’s president and COO, addressed the risks surrounding the conflict with Iran and made it clear that, as of now, the event remains on the schedule.

“We’re not like F1, we don’t have a lot of events at this time right now that would be impacted. We have an event at the end of June, our next event … as you’d expect, we’re going to monitor the situation.”

“If we have to make a move or to have a schedule change, we will do the right thing by our audience and, more importantly, by global affairs.”

The U.S. State Department still has Saudi Arabia under a Level 3 travel advisory, recommending that American citizens reconsider travel to the country due to the risk of Iranian drone and missile attacks, armed conflict, terrorism, and other security concerns.

Nick Khan had previously indicated internally that WWE would only travel to Saudi Arabia if the trip was considered safe for American citizens.

As of now, there is no official indication that the event will be canceled or moved to a different location.
