TNA Lockdown
TNA Lockdown kicks off with an instrumental Star-Spangled Banner before a Chris Bey-backed video package sets the tone for the show.
Steel Cage Match: AJ Francis vs. Elijah
– Elijah wipes out Expressions with a Tombstone, but Francis capitalizes with a moonsault and Down Payment to score the win.
Elijah gets some payback by blasting Francis with his guitar after the match. Hannifan and Rehwoldt run down the Lockdown card before Allie teases a mystery partner for tonight.
The Elegance Brand then head to the ring, followed by Allie and Kiera Hogan.
TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship – Steel Cage Match: Allie and Kiera Hogan (c) vs. The Elegance Brand (Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance)
– Allie and Kiera Hogan overcome constant interference from The Elegance Brand, with Allie escaping the handcuffs and helping Hogan secure the win to retain the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Titles.
Carlos Silva presents the titles to the champs before they send support to Tanea “Rebel” Brooks.
Moose and Frankie Kazarian then make their entrances for the next match.
Escape The Cage Match: Frankie Kazarian vs. Moose
– Moose controls much of the match and repeatedly cuts off Kazarian’s escape attempts. After a Spanish Fly off the cage and several Spears, Moose sends Kazarian crashing through the cage, but Kazarian hits the floor first to steal the win.
Elayna Black and Xia Brookside then head out for the next bout.
TNA Knockouts World Championship – Steel Cage Match: Xia Brookside (c) vs. Elayna Black
– Brookside survives Blackout, then uses powder to blind Black and steals the win with a roll-up.
Mustafa Ali heads to the ring with Order 4, followed by Jason Hotch.
TNA International Championship – Steel Cage Match: Jason Hotch (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
– Ali cuts Hotch off with a Spear, then lands back-to-back 450 Splashes to put him away.
John Skyler briefly confronts Ali after the match before returning to assist Hotch. Hotch gives the toy back to his daughter, kisses his wife and is helped backstage by Skyler.
Gia Miller introduces AJ Styles’ son, Avery Styles, who comes out in a TNA shirt as “The Phenomenal Son.” Avery credits TNA for playing a major role in his father’s career and his family before announcing that he has officially signed with the company.
Frankie Kazarian interrupts to welcome Avery to TNA, bringing up his history with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels in building the promotion. Kazarian warns Avery that his last name puts a target on him in the locker room, but claims Avery can trust him.
TNA X-Division Championship – Last Man Standing Steel Cage Match: Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Leon Slater
– Slater and Alexander trade offense as the crowd rallies behind both men. Slater takes control with a kick, a windmill kick and repeated Lumbar Checks before landing a 450 Splash. Alexander fails to beat the count, giving Slater the win.
Backstage, Daria Rae vents about Indi Hartwell before learning of another attack. She finds Santino Marella tending to a laid-out Elijah, tells the Director of Authority to handle it, and walks away.
Bear Bronson then heads to the ring representing The System, followed by Fabian Aicher for the next PPV match.
Lethal Lockdown Match: The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson and Alisha Edwards) vs. Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada Stone
– Sosa drives Myers into the tacks with a Blue Thunder Bomb, then uses barbed wire for a near fall before Alisha intervenes. Edwards capitalizes with a Boston Knee Party and a Package Piledriver onto a pile of chairs to pin Sosa for the win.
TNA promotes Bound For Glory on October 11 in Tampa, featuring Konnan, Amazing Red and ODB’s Hall of Fame inductions, along with Destination X on November 15. Jason Hotch and John Skyler vs. Mustafa Ali and Special Agent Zero is also announced for Thursday’s live iMPACT on AMC.
TNA World Tag Team Championship – Texas Tornado Steel Cage Match: The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) (c) vs. The Nemeths (TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth)
– Matt drops Ryan with a Twist of Fate and puts him through a table with an elbow off the cage. Nic immediately catches Matt with the Danger Zone and scores the pin.
After the match, Leon Slater relinquishes the X-Division Title and invokes Option C to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship at Bound For Glory, vowing to become the youngest World Champion in company history. Nemeth tries to jump Slater, but Slater lays him out and stands tall to close Lockdown.
