This Friday night, WWE will host another live edition of SmackDown, straight from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Check out the highlights announced for the show below:

- MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga w/ Haku) (c) vs. R-Truth & Damian Priest – WWE Tag Team Championship Match;
- Giulia vs. Blake Monroe;
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will come face-to-face for the first time since their WrestleMania 42 rematch was made official for September;

Results:
WWE SmackDown opens with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton continuing their heated rivalry.
After Sami Zayn confronts Nick Aldis backstage over losing his Undisputed WWE Championship opportunity because of Orton last week, Cody calls “The Viper” to the ring. Orton appears on the stage and reminds Rhodes they are scheduled to face each other in two weeks, but Aldis steps in before things turn physical. The SmackDown GM announces that neither man can touch the other before the match, with any violation resulting in them never receiving another title opportunity.
Orton questions whether Cody truly would hit him in the head with a chair, arguing Rhodes could not live with the consequences. Randy notes that he has done similar things before without remorse and reiterates his pursuit of a 15th world championship.
Cody responds that he learns plenty from Orton over the years and vows to be the one who finally “kills” The Legend Killer, closing with: “That’s not a prediction. It’s a spoiler.” The two stare each other down to end the segment.
MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) boast about becoming WWE Tag Team Champions. Tama challenges Damian Priest and R-Truth to come take the titles before Haku fires up his sons and heads to the ring with them.

– Talla and Tonga hit Truth with a Big Boot + Chop Block, followed by the pinfall.
Cathy Kelley interviews CM Punk backstage. Punk says he feels no pressure ahead of facing Kevin Owens in a hostile environment. Randy Orton interrupts, telling Punk that after he humiliates Cody Rhodes in Atlanta, he is coming straight for his 15th world championship. Orton then walks off.
Chelsea Green meets Tiffany Stratton backstage and apologizes for last week, offering to take her to the best spot in town. Stratton appreciates the gesture but asks Green to stay away from her match tonight, not wanting anything to jeopardize her title reign. Paige then congratulates Green on last week’s promo and predicts a lengthy championship run before Fatal Influence interrupts. Jacy Jayne mocks Paige’s advice and claims the brand’s top women’s title will eventually belong to her faction. Paige responds by teasing a run at Jayne’s United States Championship.
Cathy Kelley interviews Blake Monroe backstage. Monroe says her main roster debut should be for a world championship rather than against Giulia, and certainly not in Toronto when a more glamorous city like Paris would be more fitting. Regardless, “The Beautiful Madness” promises to do what she does best tonight: make everyone pay attention.
Singles Match: Giulia vs. Blake Monroe
– Blake Monroe attacks Giulia during her entrance, sending her into the steel steps before bringing her into the ring. Monroe follows with a headbutt, knee strike and Beauty Shot, then leaves before the match can even begin. “The Beautiful Madness” looks into the camera and declares, “I’m world championship material!” before heading backstage.
Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin confront Charlotte Flair, Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss backstage, mocking Flair’s new ally. Flair warns that Paxley could take all three of them by herself, prompting Michin to challenge Tatum to a singles match next week. Paxley eagerly accepts ahead of her first match as a main roster talent. Jade’s group leaves, and Tatum hugs Flair for defending her.
Trick Williams and Lil Yachty hit the ring, with Trick calling out Baron Corbin and demanding another shot at the United States Championship. Corbin arrives on a motorcycle without the title, says the belt is being repaired, and reminds Trick he has already beaten him twice, ruling out another title match.
Yachty then attacks Corbin from behind with a kendo stick, sending him to ringside. Corbin responds by offering Trick a title match at Sunday Night’s Main Event under one condition: Yachty must survive five minutes against him. Yachty immediately accepts, with Corbin warning him those will be the longest five minutes of his life.
Cathy Kelley interviews Kevin Owens backstage. Finn Bálor welcomes Owens back, but says he could have said something before SummerSlam. Gunther interrupts and tells Owens he should be worried about him, not Bálor. After Gunther leaves, Bálor says he hopes Owens wins the Undisputed WWE Championship, but warns he will be waiting to take it from him. Owens and Bálor fist-bump before going their separate ways.
Singles Match: Tiffany Stratton vs. Lash Legend w/ Nia Jax
– Legend hits Stratton with a Lash Extension, followed by the pinfall.
The Irresistible Forces attack Stratton, but Chelsea Green makes the save with a kendo stick, forcing the duo to retreat.
Shinsuke Nakamura introduces KYOKI (Hiromu Takahashi) in a video promo, with the duo promising chaos on SmackDown and targeting MFT and the tag team titles.
Undisputed WWE Championship Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Kevin Owens
– After Owens refused Sami Zayn’s help after Zayn struck Punk with the title, Zayn turned on Owens and hit him with the championship. Punk capitalized and hit Owens with a GTS, followed by the pinfall.
After the match, Zayn attacked Punk and Owens with the title, closing out SmackDown by standing tall over both men with the championship.
