Nic and Ryan Nemeth closed TNA Lockdown 2026 as the new TNA World Tag Team Champions, defeating The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) in the main event on Sunday at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
The steel cage match was highly competitive and featured tables down the stretch. Matt Hardy placed Ryan Nemeth on a table and dove off the side of the cage with an elbow drop, driving him through it.
Nic Nemeth hit the Danger Zone on Matt Hardy in the closing moments to pick up the win and end the Hardys’ reign.
The victory makes Nic a double champion, as he now holds the TNA World Championship alongside one of the tag team titles. He captured the world title on June 28 at Slammiversary by defeating Mike Santana.
Coincidentally, Matt and Jeff won the TNA World Tag Team Championship for the fifth time on that same night.
This also marks the second tag team title reign for Nic and Ryan Nemeth in TNA. They first won the belts in April 2025 at Rebellion, also defeating The Hardys.
