Willow Nightingale is no longer the AEW TBS Champion. During this week’s AEW Dynamite, Nightingale announced that she was forced to vacate the title after suffering a shoulder injury in her recent defense against Red Velvet on AEW Collision.
In the segment aired by AEW, Nightingale said she has not been cleared to compete, which also forced her to withdraw from the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
“The Babe With The Power” was originally scheduled to face Alex Windsor in the first round of the tournament at Double or Nothing.
With the change, Windsor will now face a Wild Card opponent whose identity has not yet been revealed. AEW also confirmed that Athena vs. Mina Shirakawa, another match in the women’s tournament, has been moved to this Sunday’s Double or Nothing.
Nightingale’s reign ends after 141 days. She won the AEW TBS Championship on December 31, 2025, defeating Mercedes Moné at AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash.
During her title reign, Willow re-established herself as one of the top names in AEW’s women’s division, defending the title against names such as Julia Hart, Hikaru Shida, and Red Velvet.
As of now, AEW has not announced how it will crown the next TBS Champion. With the title now vacant and Double or Nothing right around the corner, the company will likely reveal its next plans in the coming days.
