Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland took the first steps toward AEW All In: London by winning their Owen Hart Foundation Tournament matches at Double or Nothing.
The pay-per-view took place this Sunday at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
The men’s tournament field includes Ospreay, Swerve, Samoa Joe, Bandido, Mark Davis, Jack Perry, Claudio Castagnoli, and Brody King. AEW had already confirmed the opening matches, with Ospreay facing Joe and Swerve taking on Bandido at Double or Nothing.
Ospreay was the first to advance, defeating Samoa Joe after hitting two Hidden Blades. Joe managed to survive the first one, but the second finisher put him away.
Later in the night, Swerve Strickland defeated Bandido in one of the biggest matches of the first round. The former AEW World Champion countered the 21-Plex, hit a vertebreaker, and finished the match with the House Call.
With the results, Ospreay will face the winner of Mark Davis vs. Jack Perry, while Swerve will await whoever advances between Claudio Castagnoli and Brody King.
