Randy Orton became a topic of conversation on social media this Sunday after jokingly responding to recent rumors about his absence from WWE programming.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Orton has reportedly been out since WrestleMania 42 due to a back injury, the same area that nearly ended his pro-wrestling career a few years ago.

Shortly after the story started making the rounds, “The Viper” went to X to respond:

“Lmao just milking it guys, leave me alone I’m trying to enjoy my summer before I come back and take that #15”

Orton has not appeared on WWE TV since Night 1 of WrestleMania 42, when he was defeated by Cody Rhodes in the main event for the Undisputed WWE Championship. After the match, he attacked Rhodes and closed the show standing tall with the title in his hands.

It is worth remembering that Orton is a 14-time world champion and is looking to match even bigger records in company history. His comment about “#15” indicates that, at least publicly, he still sees another world title win as part of his plans.
