Kevin Owens, who will wrestle CM Punk in a No Holds Barred match on Friday’s SmackDown, was “kicked out” of the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It was Shawn Michaels who threw him out a few hours before tonight’s WWE NXT.

Owens posted a video on X showing the moment Michaels approached him. Owens was in the building to get his shoulders treated by WWE’s medical staff, but he was ordered to leave.

The reason is that Punk is on tonight’s show, where Grayson Waller will defend the NXT Championship against him.

Michaels told Owens he could have picked any other day and accused him of showing up on purpose on the day of Punk’s match.

“You could’ve picked any other day of the week,” Michaels said. “My understanding is you two cannot coexist.”

A visibly upset Owens suggested that Punk stay in the parking lot and mocked the situation.

“Are you sure I don’t need to check the schedule with CM Punk?” Owens said. “Does CM Punk tell you when you treat people?”

Michaels then asked Owens to come back tomorrow. But Owens is still in Orlando. That doesn’t mean he will be on tonight’s NXT, but the door is open.

It’s not the first time Owens has cost Punk a title. On the September 11 SmackDown in Mexico City, Owens tried to hit Sami Zayn with the title belt but hit Punk, who ended up losing the Undisputed WWE Championship. The following week, Punk returned the favor and cost Owens his title shot against Zayn.
