Jacob Fatu once again left Roman Reigns in a tough spot on WWE television. On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the Samoan Werewolf attacked World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso during the Acknowledgment Ceremony.
The segment was meant to follow up on what happened at Backlash, where Reigns retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Fatu. WWE itself had announced the ceremony would take place after Fatu attacked the OTC at the premium live event, leaving it unclear whether he would finally acknowledge the Tribal Chief.
Before the closing segment, Adam Pearce stated that Fatu maybe shouldn’t even be at the show after what he did on Saturday. Reigns, however, made it clear he would handle the situation himself.

In the end, the exact opposite happened. Fatu attacked the Usos, got into it with Reigns, locked in the Tongan Death Grip, dove into the champion, and sent him crashing through the announce table. Even after officials intervened, he came back to slam Reigns, Jimmy, and Jey into the barricade.
After RAW went off the air, fans caught footage of Reigns selling the injury as he walked to the back. There’s been no confirmation so far that the champion needs to take any time away from WWE.
It remains to be seen whether WWE will turn the attack into a suspension for Fatu or a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship.
