WWE announced that NXT will hold its own edition of TLC for the first time ever. The longtime PLE, known for its use of tables, ladders and chairs, will become part of the NXT calendar.
The announcement brings back an event that WWE last held in December 2020, when the show featured wrestlers from RAW and SmackDown.
That night, Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens in a TLC match for the Universal Championship. Drew McIntyre successfully defended the WWE Championship against AJ Styles and The Miz, while Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Inferno match.

But NXT has a history with this type of match. In October 2020, IYO SKY defeated Candice LeRae in a Tables, Ladders and Scares match at Halloween Havoc.
The stipulation returned at the 2024 edition of Halloween Havoc, where Tony D’Angelo defeated Oba Femi to retain the NXT North American Championship. This time, TLC will be its own PLE on the NXT calendar.
