Zilla Fatu came out in entrance gear inspired by Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, then defeated Charlie Dempsey at NXT Halloween Havoc on Saturday.
The match took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and had a special stipulation. The Halloween Havoc wheel landed on “Very Nice, Very Evil,” which gave Danhausen the right to pick the rules. He chose a No Rules Falls Count Anywhere match, so there were no disqualifications and falls counted anywhere.
The violent match ended when Fatu hit a Samoan Splash on Dempsey and got the three-count for the win.

Fatu’s tribute to the Mortal Kombat character was in line with the Halloween theme that other wrestlers on the show used as well. Myles Borne wore a Jason Voorhees mask, and Tavion Heights came out dressed as Freddy Krueger.
Fatu’s match with Dempsey stemmed from his issues with BirthRight, the faction that includes Dempsey, Lexis King, Uriah Connors, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Arianna Grace. Fatu turned down an offer to join the group, which has attacked him since then.
