Izzi Dame defeated Zaria at Halloween Havoc on Saturday and could be next in line to challenge for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. The title wasn’t on the line.
The match took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Dame nearly won it with a modified Gory Bomb, but Zaria kicked out at two.
Dame then left the ring to grab the title. Zaria caught her with a clothesline and kept her from using the belt. But Zaria was distracted as she tried to take the title from the referee. Dame took advantage and hit a running knee for the win.

Dame was the one who insisted on a non-title match. On the October 20 edition of NXT, Zaria offered Dame a title shot after Dame defeated Layla Diggs, but Dame’s answer caught her off guard. Dame agreed to face her at Halloween Havoc as long as the title wasn’t on the line.
In the weeks leading up to Halloween Havoc, Dame taunted Zaria with old photos and videos, including clips of Zaria playing Glinda in a school production of Wicked.
On Tuesday’s NXT, Dame appeared in a backstage segment and said she wanted to expose Zaria’s past before taking away the only thing Zaria had left. She was referring to the title.
