Rey Fenix, EK Prosper, Tony D’Angelo, Kelani Jordan and Wren Sinclair are shown arriving at the venue ahead of tonight’s show.
Weaponized Steel Cage Match: Saquon Shugars vs. Dion Lennox
– Shugars hits Lennox with a High Crossbody, followed by the pinfall.
Nattie and Jaida Parker are shown backstage with Thea Hail.
Blake Howard interviews Tony D’Angelo, who reflects on his run of major PLE matches, touts himself as the only NXT Grand Slam Champion and recalls defeating Oba Femi. D’Angelo says everyone wants the prestigious NXT Championship, but vows to retain after beating three men to win it.
Sarah Schreiber joins The Vanity Project at a bowling alley, where they express confidence ahead of facing Tavion Heights and Myles Borne at Heatwave.
In the ring, Nattie says she comes to NXT to fight Jaida Parker because she sees potential in her, but calls Parker wasted potential and claims she gave her the attention she needed. Parker interrupts and says Nattie is trying to prove she is soft, but insists she sees through her motives and does not need her help. Nattie challenges Parker to a Submission Match at NXT Heatwave, which Parker accepts before promising to beat her.
Singles Match: Keanu Carver vs. Kam Hendrix
– Carver hits Hendrix with a Perfect-Plex, followed by the pinfall.
Singles Match: NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria vs. Kali Armstrong
– Armstrong counters Zaria’s F5 into a roll-up to win the match.
With the victory, Armstrong joins the Title Unification Match at NXT Heatwave.
Backstage, William Sawalich warns Kendal Grey that taking more hits could cause hearing loss. Grey is medically cleared but is told she is playing with fire. Wren Sinclair then approaches Grey and discusses their Triple Threat Match against Kali Armstrong and Zaria at Heatwave.
8-Man Tag Team Match: Romeo Moreno, Noam Dar, Sean Legacy, and Dorian Van Dux vs. BirthRight (WWE Men’s Speed Champion Lexis King, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, and Charlie Dempsey w/ Arianna Grace)
– Dempsey hits Dar with a Fisherman Buster, followed by the pinfall.
Robert Stone speaks with referee Victoria D’Errico ahead of tonight’s meeting before Keanu Carver interrupts. Stone suggests Carver face Kam Hendrix again after his controversial win, but Carver insists the referee’s decision is final. Shiloh Hill then asks to face Naraku following last week’s events, and Stone makes the match official.
AAA World Cruiseriweight Championship Match: Rey Fenix (c) vs. EK Prosper
– Fenix hits Prosper with a Mexican Muscle Buster, followed by the pinfall.
Myles Borne and Tavion Heights talk with NASCAR driver Sam Mayer backstage as they prepare for their title matches at NXT Heatwave. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger return to NXT and challenge them to an NXT Tag Team Title match after Heatwave. Heights says their focus is on the PLE, but they have no problem facing Hank and Tank afterward.
Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair open the final segment, with Grey touting her rapid rise and promising to make Kelani Jordan back up her words at Heatwave. Jordan vows to win the NXT Women’s Championship, while Sinclair says WrenQCC will leave the PLE with all the gold. Zaria and Kali Armstrong join the confrontation, each making their own title claims.
Grayson Waller interrupts and promises to steal the spotlight by winning the NXT Championship, but Tony D’Angelo dismisses him as a disappointment. Cruz Montana then appears in the crowd, says he came to fight rather than talk, and attacks security to spark a massive brawl. Zaria lays out Armstrong, Sinclair drops Zaria, and Grey takes down Jordan.
Zilla Fatu eventually arrives and dives onto his Heatwave opponents at ringside before posing with the NXT Championship. Grey and Sinclair stand tall in the ring with the three women’s titles as the show goes off the air.
