Tonight’s show opens with a video recapping both nights of WWE SummerSlam, highlighting Roman Reigns’ victory over Seth Rollins in a World Heavyweight Championship match.

Roman Reigns kicks off tonight’s show, sending the Des Moines crowd into a frenzy. Once in the ring, Reigns addresses his match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, saying they finally found peace because they settled things like men in their World Heavyweight Championship match.

LA Knight interrupts Reigns’ promo. Knight congratulates Reigns on his victory Sunday, especially because he did it alone. However, Knight points out that when they faced each other, he did not receive the same fair treatment, and demands another shot at the title.

Reigns rejects Knight’s challenge and calls him a fraud. Reigns says that despite his victory over The Bloodline, Knight did not fight alone, which means he belongs at the back of the line.

Before Reigns can leave the ring, Knight says Reigns has no right to talk about fighting alone, considering that during his time in The Shield alongside Seth Rollins, they were a bunch of jackasses who ganged up on wrestlers like him. Knight says he expects a positive answer from Reigns before leaving the ring. Reigns, visibly furious, watches Knight from the ring as the segment ends.

Singles Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Ethan Page
– Evans hits Page with an OG Cutter, followed by the pinfall.

After the match, Big Cass, returning to WWE, attacked Evans with a Big Boot. Cass then hit Evans with a devastating Clothesline, followed by the East River Crossing.

Backstage, Roman Reigns berates The Usos and Jacob Fatu over their loss at WWE SummerSlam. Reigns orders Fatu to deal with Royce Keys because Keys is not family and is not part of The Bloodline. As for LA Knight, Reigns orders everyone to stay away from him.

Knight appears after Reigns leaves and taunts The Bloodline, specifically targeting Jey Uso.

Backstage, Royce Keys approaches Jacob Fatu and says he is willing to put everything that happened leading up to WWE SummerSlam behind them because he considers Fatu his brother and family. Fatu calls Keys a bum and says he will never have a place in The Bloodline. Fatu then challenges Keys to a Street Fight later tonight.

Liv Morgan, still the Women’s World Champion, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez come to the ring. Morgan talks about her victory over IYO SKY at WWE SummerSlam, claiming she is the greatest champion of all time because she proved she is unbeatable. Morgan says the same applies to Rodriguez, who captured the Women’s Intercontinental Championship last week.

However, Sol Ruca’s music hits. She interrupts The Judgment Day’s promo ahead of her match against Roxanne Perez.

Singles Match: Sol Ruca vs. Roxanne Perez w/ Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez
– Ruca wins via DQ after Morgan attacks her.

After the match, Rodriguez immediately hits Ruca with a big boot. Perez follows with Pop Rox. Rodriguez finishes her off with a Tejana Bomb.

Becky Lynch’s music hits, interrupting Judgment Day’s celebration. Once she enters the ring, Lynch tells Rodriguez she did not come after her title because she already held it for a long time. Lynch wants Morgan’s title because the championship needs someone who will defend it instead of waiting more than 100 days to do so. Morgan responds that Lynch is jealous because she is the greatest champion of all time and rejects the challenge.

However, as Judgment Day heads backstage, Stephanie Vaquer’s music hits. La Primera makes her return to WWE and attacks Rodriguez and Perez. Morgan runs toward the ring, but Vaquer catches her and unloads on the champion with several punches. Rodriguez and Perez try to return, but Vaquer cuts them off and throws them out of the ring. Morgan attempts a sneak attack, but Vaquer plants her with a Spinebuster.

Judgment Day finally manages to escape the ring, while Lynch and Vaquer stare each other down.

We now see a video package on Oba Femi’s victory over Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell on Night 1 of WWE SummerSlam. The video also recaps Brock Lesnar’s career.

Backstage, Paul Heyman watches everything on a TV. Oba Femi appears and asks Heyman to thank Lesnar for everything. Heyman says it will be a pleasure to deliver the message and congratulates Femi as well.

Danhausen arrives in his coffin-shaped car, filled with cash. Danhausen says that since he defeated Dominik Mysterio, he has plenty of money because he is rich. Danhausen hands out several bills to the crowd, declaring that everyone should love him.

Oba Femi heads to the ring to a huge ovation from the crowd. Femi says he has no words to describe what he experienced on the first night of WWE SummerSlam. Femi says he and Lesnar went to war, and he emerged victorious. Femi admits that when Lesnar attacked him after WrestleMania 42, he thought The Beast Incarnate was simply jealous of him. However, Femi now understands that it was all a test.

Femi realized that Lesnar passed him the torch, and he says The Beast can finally rest because he will use that torch to lead this new generation. Femi’s music hits, and he leaves the ring.

However, as Femi approaches the backstage area, The Vision’s music hits ahead of their upcoming match. Bron Breakker stares Femi down, teasing that he will be Femi’s next opponent, while Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri urge Breakker to let the confrontation go.

Singles Match: World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker w/ The Vision (World Tag Team Champion Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri)
– Breakker won quickly after hitting Hendry with a Spear for the pinfall.

After the match, still visibly furious over his staredown with Oba Femi, Breakker headed straight backstage.

Theory took advantage and began attacking Hendry. However, Akira Tozawa came out and sent Theory to the floor, saving Hendry.

Backstage, Big Cass talks about his return tonight, saying he was left for dead for eight years and is now back for revenge, promising to take down everyone who crosses his path.

Chad Gable, the new WWE Intercontinental Champion, makes his way to the ring. Gable talks about his historic victory over Penta at SummerSlam, saying he finally achieved his dream. Gable looks back on the beginning of his WWE career and thanks the crowd for being patient with him, even recalling his days as Shorty G.

Penta makes his entrance and interrupts Gable. However, the former champion says he only came out to congratulate Gable. Penta says Gable won more than just his title—he also earned his respect.

Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh appear on the entrance ramp and interrupt them. Mysterio calls Gable and Penta two losers, unlike him, the reigning AAA Mega Champion. Mysterio says he can face Gable and Penta anywhere, adding that Gable is only keeping the title warm because, in the end, The Judgment Day will take everything it can.

Gable then challenges Mysterio and McDonagh to face him and Penta in a Tag Team Match right now, giving The Judgment Day a chance to prove everything they just said. Mysterio accepts.

Tag Team Match: WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable and Penta vs. Judgment Day (AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh)
– Gable hits Mysterio with a German Suplex, followed by the pinfall.

Backstage, Bron Breakker finds Paul Heyman and asks where Oba Femi is, claiming Femi crossed his path. Heyman asks why he should know. Visibly annoyed, Breakker says he thought Heyman was the guy who knew everything, but he can already see that is no longer the case.

Street Fight Match: Jacob Fatu vs. Royce Keys
– Fatu locks Keys in the Tongan Death Grip and chokes him unconscious for the win.

Even after the match ended, Fatu continued attacking Keys. At one point, he wrapped a chair around Keys’ neck and prepared to crush him against the turnbuckle. Adam Pearce and several other officials rushed out, but failed to stop Fatu’s attack.

Roman Reigns’ music hits. From the entrance ramp, Reigns stares at Fatu, making it clear that Fatu completed the mission Reigns gave him. As Reigns heads backstage, Rey Mysterio approaches him and says that, as AAA General Manager, he needs to discuss some business with him. Reigns agrees and leaves with Mysterio, ending this week’s show.

End of show.
