At one point, WWE had plans for the Iron Survivor Challenge, a big part of NXT at the end of the year, on the main roster.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that WWE has discussed the possibility of bringing the stipulation to Raw and SmackDown in the past. The report noted that one source believes it could fit into the picture for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which Sami Zayn currently holds. Zayn is set to face Roman Reigns on Saturday at Crown Jewel in Riyadh.
But it doesn’t appear that the Iron Survivor Challenge is more likely to debut on the main roster with no NXT Deadline this year.

Since 2022, the Iron Survivor Challenge has been a part of all four editions of Deadline, which has traditionally been NXT’s PLE at the start of December. But this year, WWE announced at Halloween Havoc that TLC is coming back, this time as an NXT show, and will replace Deadline on the calendar. The show will take place on December 12 in Orlando, Florida.
In 2022, WWE made a similar move with WarGames, which had been NXT’s main attraction in December until then, and took it to Survivor Series on the main roster. Following the move, NXT introduced Deadline, along with the Iron Survivor Challenge, which Shawn Michaels came up with.
