WWE has launched a major crackdown on streamers and content creators posting clips and reactions to its shows across social media.

According to Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert, the company has been issuing takedowns and copyright strikes to multiple creators over the past few weeks, largely targeting react-style content.

Fightful Select also reports this is WWE’s largest enforcement action of its kind to date, with the company bringing in StreamEnforcement, a content protection firm, to carry out many of the removals using automated bots.

The sweep has already resulted in several accounts being terminated. As of now, WWE has not issued a public statement on the matter.

What has fans especially heated is the hypocrisy. WWE has previously featured creator reaction videos in its own television programming and official digital content. That history has made the new stance a lightning rod for criticism online.

It’s also worth noting that shortly after WrestleMania 42, numerous clips from the event began disappearing from X, flagged for removal by the copyright holder.

It remains to be seen if WWE will double down on this hardline approach, or if the backlash will push the company to reconsider how it handles creators who have long helped amplify its biggest moments.
