Danhausen addressed the heavy speculation surrounding his mystery partner at WWE Backlash, where he faced The Miz and Kit Wilson.
In an interview with WWE Now Backlash Recap, Danhausen poked fun at the rumors that CM Punk, Oba Femi, or Jelly Roll would be his partner for the match.
“People were saying: ‘It’s confirmed, it’s Cola-Man Punk, it’s Oba Femi.’ They’re great, but who said that? Who put that on me? I didn’t even want to find a partner, why would I ask them?
It was Jelly Roll, Cola-Man Punk, Oba… I saw those stories confirmed, by the way. All three in one week, all confirmed. I should’ve called all of them.”

In the end, the revealed partner was Minihausen, introduced as a clone of Danhausen himself. According to WrestleTalk, the character was played by Mascarita Sagrada, previously known in WWE as El Torito.
The choice ended up working within the match itself. Danhausen and Minihausen defeated The Miz and Kit Wilson after multiple copies of Minihausen appeared when Wilson put him inside the cloning machine, causing chaos in the ring. Miz then tried to use a fire extinguisher, but the supposed curse backfired on him and Wilson, opening the door for Danhausen to pick up the win with a pump kick.
After the victory, Danhausen also talked about the fan support and said he wasn’t surprised, saying he always considered himself a big deal and that he’ll keep being a big deal.
