AEW has set a start date for the 2026 Continental Classic.
The tournament will begin on the November 18 episode of Dynamite, airing live from the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. That’s just four days after Full Gear, which takes place on November 14 at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Continental Classic is a round-robin tournament traditionally split into Blue and Gold Leagues. The last edition featured 12 participants, six per group. Matches had a 20-minute time limit, with each win worth three points and draws earning one point per wrestler. Outside interference is also prohibited under Continental Rules.
Jon Moxley, the current AEW Continental Champion, has an automatic spot in the tournament. Moxley won the title on December 27, 2025, when he beat Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic final at Worlds End, ending Okada’s lengthy reign.
Moxley also heads into the tournament coming off a win in the first-ever Continental Challenge Cup. At All In on August 30 at Wembley Stadium, he beat Nigel McGuinness by submission in the final and retained the Continental Championship.
As in previous years, the Continental Classic final will take place at Worlds End. AEW hasn’t officially announced a date or location for the pay-per-view yet.
